Our program offers the unique support and gentle encouragement necessary for gaining the self-confidence to explore movement and technique. We believe that the strength and flexibility developed in the study of pure classical ballet gives dancers the freedom and facility to create their own personal expression.
Students are placed into class levels by LBC instructors. The emphasis of the program is on classical ballet technique, with supplementary training in stretching, pirouettes, pointe, pilates, character dance, and contemporary ballet.
LBC companies
Our goal is to create a program to bond the dancers to the love of ballet and to encourage dancers to learn the art of ballet in a more serious way. All dancers at LBC learn to apply themselves wholeheartedly. Instruction in a unique supportive environment, helps dancers gain an understanding of the rules of ballet that can move them forward in life to aspire to whatever goals they desire to pursue. They learn their own capabilities and strengths. They learn self confidence. Dancers in the LBC company program represent our school at competitions, summer dance programs, and outside performances. Dancers in the Junior and Senior High Levels are eligible for P.E. exemption in many public and private schools.
